We recently went on a cruise to the Greek Isles with one of the major cruise lines. The ports-of-call were all magnificently beautiful places steeped in preserved ancient history. Instead of booking our excursions through the cruise line, we used Jamie for all of our sightseeing.
The agency thoroughly researched the don’t-want-to-miss options for each port and arranged excellent guides, audio tours, tickets, and transportation both to and from the ship docking location as well as around the city or wherever we were. Guides and drivers were excellent and conscientious about returning to ship by departure time. The smaller groups were much more personal. The price tag most of the time was nearly half the cost of the cruise arranged tours.
One of the highlights was the recommended eating places. Most were places where locals hung out or patronized for meals, so food was less expensive, but delicious. And, we were privileged to experience more of the true local culture of the area rather than swanky, tourist choked restaurants.
I highly recommend Jamie at CruisePlanners if you want to truly experience the “real” places you visit in addition to the famous spots. I had the privilege of traveling to Kenya in late November 2021, and I think about this trip almost daily, even though it has been two years. Our group of family and friends was able to have three unique experiences in one trip.
We started in the Maasai Mara, which included a world-class safari resort and breathtaking access to wildlife. The second leg was in Diani Beach, Mombasa, on the Kenyan Coast, where we truly got to experience what it means to have “no worries” for a few days at the Boabab all-inclusive resort. The last and largest leg was spent in the capital city of Nairobi.
It is one thing to have access to non-tourist attractions, but to sit for hours and talk and eat in people’s homes gives you an appreciation that is simply unforgettable. One of these moments ended up being an answered prayer that brought a lot of clarity and healing to me personally, as an African-American.
None of this would have been possible without the intentionality, planning, guidance, and introductions from Jamie! Our first family Disney trip was truly so magical! Jamie is a wizard when it comes to Disney. She thought of every detail from booking the best hotel for our family so we could have early and easy access to the park to mapping out our trip so we had zero to little wait times. A Master Planner – Jamie did an excellent job incorporating my families interests into our Disney Parks adventure! Her knowledge of the parks, scheduling, and navigation skills translated to less time spent waiting in lines and more time enjoying the attractions and entertainment. Susan went above and beyond with our group of 32 people. She helped coordinate with the travel plans of our members who were flying from Alaska, Texas, Florida, Rome, Jordan, and Ethiopia to join our group in Israel. Then she helped coordinate with those who were flying to Greece and Rome after our trip. She was there for us during the trip with any issues that came up. I would absolutely recommend her.
